Energetic and open-minded, Portuguese Mário Feliciano is part of a new generation of type designers that has put the Iberian peninsula firmly on the map. A self-taught type designer, he initially made experimental and grungy fonts; but his work quickly gained maturity and professionalism. Having run a successful graphic design studio in Lisbon for several years, he gave it up to fully concentrate on the fonts published by the Feliciano Type Foundry (FTF) and on type consultancy for magazines and newspapers.
